Tucked away just off the main drag of Kensington High Street on Abingdon Road, this born-again back-street boozer The Abingdon, now puts on quite a tasteful show with its white-painted, three-storey façade and an interior that comes complete with ornate ironwork and a curved false ceiling.

Slide doors divide the buzzy bar from the contemporary restaurant, where most of the serious business takes place.
