Situated 10 minutes' drive north of Skye Bridge, this converted Victorian village schoolhouse now does service as a charming little restaurant. Inside, there are paintings by local artists and all sorts of fishing bric-a-brac to distract the eye.
The cooking depends heavily on Scottish supplies - especially seafood and game - for a repertoire of dishes that might take in stir-fried Mallaig squid with garlic and chilli, grilled Portree langoustines with lemon butter glaze, and pan-fried sea bass with ginger and garlic sauce.
