Angel Hotel Review

Originally a great coaching inn on the London to Fishguard road, the Angel stands proud in the centre of Abergavenny, and has been privately run as a hotel since 2002.

The full restaurant menu plots a course through the British, French and Mediterranean repertoire, taking in Black Mountain smoked salmon, a salad of duck confit with frisée salad and lentils, roast rump of Welsh lamb with green beans and potato gratin, and desserts ranging from hot crêpe with sautéed apple, sultanas and Calvados to tiramisù.
