Arch One Bar & Grill Review

A plum spot directly opposite Waterloo mainline station is one of the assets of Arch One Bar & Grill, a lively bar-cum-restaurant, which is also handily placed a short stroll from the Thames and the cultural attractions of the South Bank. The setting - underneath a railway arch - is cool, smart and buzzy, with some sought-after tables on the mezzanine providing good views of the local comings-and-goings.

Full meals are served in the Balcony Restaurant, where the menu works its way through some inviting modern dishes along the lines of seared scallops with apple and fennel salad, baby onion and pear tarte Tatin, and stuffed fillet of beef with romescu sauce.
