Once the old post office, now a self-styled 'Pan Asian Dining Room', Asia brings a touch of ethnic chic to St Albans. Oriental artefacts, intricate latticework panels and artwork set the tone in the sleek, modern dining room, which provides a relaxed setting for vivid food from many corners of the Far East.

The long menu includes a strong contingent of regional Indian specialities ranging from 'favourite classics' (chicken bhuna, lamb biryani, tandoori mixed grill) to more inventive ideas such as mango prawn puris, Punjabi swordfish with mustard and honey, and haryali chicken with spinach and fenugreek.
