Glyn Purnell, chef patron of Michelin starred Purnell's restaurant in Birmingham, has re-opened his second venture the Asquith Restaurant which closed after just 6 months due to problems with the landlord. The new location a former dim sum restaurant has been refurbished to a cost of £150,000 and now features as well as the restaurant an exclusive cocktail bar called Ginger's Bar, with a glamorous décor that harks back to the era of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.
