Aubaine is 'like very old Paris, but it's also very new London' or so runs the blurb about this most welcome French invader, which offers the folk of South Kensington a taste of Gallic culinary pleasures. It combines the virtues of a boulangerie, pâtisserie and café with the bonus of a genuine old-style bistro dealing in authentic bourgeois cooking.

It is emphatically an all-day venue, kicking off with breakfast, moving through lunches and afternoon snacks to fully-blown suppers.
