Originally called the Bull at Yaxley, this centuries-old Suffolk inn has been sympathetically transformed into a delightful country restaurant-with-rooms by current owners John and Dee Stenhouse. The building still proudly shows off its age with a steeply pitched roof and tall chimneys, while inside there are plenty of weathered beams and exposed brickwork.
By contrast the food served in the intimate dining room (which features some original beamed partitions), is in tune with current trends.
