Part of luxury resort complex hidden away a short distance from Brodick Ferry Port, Auchrannie is an imposing country house set in acres of mature gardens and grounds overlooking Glen Cloy.

Fine dining takes place in the conservatory-style Garden Restaurant. Starters set the contemporary tone with - say - Pithivier of goats' cheese and walnut cream, ahead of roast sea bream with chive crème fraîche, baby potatoes and artichokes or breast of guinea fowl with Savoy cabbage, bacon and redcurrant tea sauce.
