The Barnsbury bills itself as a 'Freehouse and Dining Room', this civilised pub/restaurant a few minutes walk from Islington's Upper Street has an unostentatious style very much its own. 'Chandeliers' fashioned from inverted wine glasses are just one novel touch, and there are regularly changing art exhibitions to catch the eye as well.

The menu is based on daily supplies from the market, and it promises European flavours in abundance.
