The Bazil is making something of a splash in Whitley Bay: it's part of the grand Windsor Hotel on South Parade, but it's a world away from the clichés of provincial hotel restaurants. Instead it offers lively brasserie cooking in surroundings that are very much in tune with the times.
The kitchen deals in global ideas, but makes the best use possible of North Country produce.
