One of the oldest licensed premises in England, Bel and the Dragon in Cookham is now part of a little group of country pub restaurants with branches in Godalming and Windsor. It stands in the middle of town, opposite the Stanley Spencer Gallery and close to the River Thames Path.
Inside, it's an evocative mix of ancient and modern with low beamed ceilings, original wattle-and-daub and historic fireplaces blending with pine furnishings and contemporary fittings.
