Parts of the stylish whitewashed Bowl Inn and Lilies Restaurant began life as monks' dwellings during the Middle Ages, and the present building in Lower Almondsbury became licensed premises in 1550. These days, it's a long-serving, family-run venue incorporating all the features of a traditional pub together with a cosy, well-appointed restaurant and accommodation.
