Situated directly opposite Talbot Green designer shopping centre, this livewire venue is easily spotted with its blue and white paintwork and big awning over the entrance. Inside it looks trendily contemporary – especially the ground-floor restaurant, which is all abstract artwork on gleaming walls and bold glass-block surfaces.
The kitchen specialises in complex assemblages based on ingredients from the European larder and beyond: chilli-spiked grilled pork belly is served on a salad of Feta cheese, sun-bluish tomatoes and watercress with sweet-and-sour hoisin dressing, while seared fillet of sea bass comes with roasted fennel, sweet potato, king scallop tempura and herb beurre blanc.
