Built during the 1970s on the fringes of Stornoway, overlooking the golf course, the Cabarfeidh has established itself as one of the most popular destinations in the area with its lovely gardens, conference facilities and banqueting rooms.
The recently launched Solas Restaurant actually comprises three different dining options - a fine-dining area offering classic cuisine, a brasserie dealing in flexible modern menus, and a café for homemade patisserie, gelati ice creams and speciality drinks.
The kitchen makes good use of island produce (locally landed, hand-dived scallops, creel-caught langoustines, Lewis lamb with Stornoway black and white pudding), along with Hebridean smoked salmon and prime locally reared Angus beef handled by the hotel's resident butcher.
