Spain reigns at this casual venue attached to Birmingham's premier contemporary art gallery on the corner of fashionable Brindleyplace. The gallery itself is restored Victorian Gothic, in sharp contrast to the clean modern lines of the ground-floor café - which is something of an oasis of calm away from the hubbub of the city centre.

The food here is unpretentious, affordable and authentic.
