Spread across 20 acres of beautiful Glamorgan countryside amid woodland, pastures and lakes, Llanerch is Wales' largest and oldest vineyard. The enterprise is already a noted tourist attraction, with excellent accommodation and a cookery school, but it now has a fully fledged restaurant to boot.
Hywel Jones (head chef at Michelin-starred Lucknam Park in Wiltshire) is the culinary brains behind Calon, although the day-to-day running of its kitchen is in the hands of his former sous chef, Michael Edwards.
