Fans of Arthurian legends might well be attracted to this cracking solid-stone village pub, which stands close to the foot of the prehistoric hill fort known as Cadbury Castle and the South Cadbury Environs Project. Needless to say, it's also a godsend for walkers and outdoor types as well as enthusiasts of mythic legends.
Devotees of English farmhouse cheese might also make a beeline for the pub, since it's now owned and run by Jamie and Zizi Montgomery – legendary producers of some of the finest Cheddar (and other specialist cheeses) in the land.
