Hailed as one of the finest examples of Art Deco in the north of Scotland, the Carron first opened its doors in 1937 and was the social hub of Stonehaven during its glory years.
In the 1990s it was lavishly restored and many of its finest features still create a real spectacle for today's diners: in particular, the stunning 9-foot mirror and shiny columns made up of hundreds of light bulbs and thousands of tiny glass tiles are great talking points.
