Alan Yau returns to his street canteen roots with this credit crunch-busting diner in the heart of Soho and Cha Cha Moon offers 'a people's republic of China in a bowl,' according to The Independent: it's racy, great fun, chic and as cheap as you could wish for.
The bare-boarded canteen style of Yau's original Wagamama concept is back, with serried rows of communal tables, bamboo ceilings, high stools and a fired-up open kitchen at the heart of things - all reminiscent of Hong Kong's 'dai pai dongs' (street stalls peddling noodles, congees and stir-fries).
