Re-named in honour of the famous essayist Charles Lamb, who lived and wrote in nearby Colebrook Row, this one-time street-corner boozer has a cheerful, easy-going pace in contrast to the manic mood of nearby Upper Street. It's delightfully friendly, totally unpretentious and feeds its customers generously with honest food and good beer.
The blackboard menu is an ever-changing slate of robust dishes with a single-figure price tag.
