The Checkers Review
The Checkers in Montgomery has only been open since March 2011 and already it is celebrating one of the top culinary accolades, a Michelin star. This former coaching inn has been sympathetically renovated creating a pleasing mix of old and new, featuring a relaxing bar and lounge area, an inviting dining room and three stylish bedrooms.
Accomplished chef proprietor is Stéphane Borie who honed his skills with Michael Roux at the Michelin three-starred Waterside Inn at Bray, as well as with Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons.
