Since opening in 1995, this buzzy bistro has been feeding hungry crowds in premises just off New Street. It's a place that caters for large numbers: you can sit at one of the long refectory-style tables or choose something more intimate in the balcony and side areas off the main dining room.
The cooking is staunchly French bistro, offering old favourites like moules marinière, snails in garlic butter and coq au vin alongside a few more modern offerings including braised green chard stuffed with wild mushrooms, grilled tuna on olive, red onion and tomato salsa, or chump of lamb with minted mashed swede and red wine jus.
