China Boulevard on the River Review
Tailor-made for parties, celebrations and social bashes, China Boulevard on the River is at the hub of an increasingly up-market part of Wandsworth; it's a vast venue spread over two floors, with acres of space, spectacularly exotic décor and brilliant views across the Thames.
Set menus and banquets with titles like 'Amazing Graze' or 'Feast of Fibres' are a good bet, or you can pick and choose from the carte, which ranges far and wide for sakura prawn dumpling soup, yam and chicken rolls, steamed sea bass on lotus leaves with shiitake mushrooms and wolfberries, stone-grilled lamb curry and Suzhou beef with dried lemon zest.
China Boulevard also has its own dim sum bar with a lively choice of nibbles including soft-shell crab in herbal salt, garlic spare ribs and prawn tempura with turnip paste; in addition, it offers a 'takeaway express' menu – if you fancy eating at home.
