Once an old coaching inn on the road from London to Southampton, Clos du Marquis now offers a taste of rustic France at Stockbridge, in the heart of the Test Valley. Germain and Glanis Marquis run the place rather like a French auberge, with beams in the dining rooms, a gazebo for al fresco meals and a menu that oozes big-hearted traditional flavours.
