Locally renowned for its friendly, family atmosphere and amenable attitude towards children, Conti continues to win friends with its no-nonsense, great-value Italian food. Inside it's open-plan, with the kitchen in full view, and during the summer there's the bonus of a grassy back garden for drinks and a terrace for al fresco dining.

Pizzas are a mainstay of the menu (choose a 9-incher or a 12-inch monster) and there's a handy 'make-your-own' option for kids between 5pm and 6.30pm (plus all day Sundays).
