Owner David Morgan recently renovated and upgraded this likeable, sky-blue painted hotel in a pretty Lakeland village. The interior now has contemporary features and subtle tones, while the bar boasts a hand-crafted maple counter, faux suede benches and abstract canvases on the walls.
The restaurant offers international food with lots of influences – from moules marinière to Maryland crab cakes – although the enduring house speciality is 'geschnetzeltes schweinfleish' (thinly sliced pork fillet sautéed in butter with onions, mushrooms, paprika, white wine and cream).
