The name is Welsh for 'hug' or 'snug' (as in pub), and Cwtch's atmosphere, style and demeanour certainly live up to its friendly moniker. Inside, the irregularly shaped dining area comes complete with bare walls, pendant lamps and shelves of books, while the menu is a celebration of local and regional Welsh produce.
The repertoire changes sympathetically with the seasons, and the kitchen keeps it simple, allowing natural flavours to make their own impact.
