Fran and Ian Wood's unpretentious town-centre bistro Déjà -Vu, brings a glimmer of sunny Mediterranean warmth to Kendal, a Mecca for Lakeland walkers and climbers – although some of its bright primary colours have been exchanged for shades of deep burgundy. Upholstered chairs and pale wooden tables help to create a mood of casual comfort.
