A long-running Soho Indian that has seen many nearby restaurants come and go, the Delhi Brasserie continues to go its way with a menu of emphatically spiced, crowd-pleasing curries and skilful tandooris. The decor is warm, elegant and comforting, service is assured and the kitchen seldom falters - chef Shib Nath has been in the business for more than 25 years.
The lengthy menu lines up all the usual suspects - from chicken tikka to lamb dhansak - alongside char-grilled spiced quail, bhanta ko tukra (a cold dish of fried aubergines with yoghurt) and duck achar.
