Opened by brother and sister Spencer and Emma Hewitt in 2004, Dish occupies an historic beamed house that was once Saffron Walden's 'mint'. It's now a chic restaurant, full of character - and even boasts a resident ghost (who apparently has a habit of creating a stir every now and then).

Modern paints add some flashes of colour to the decor, and the menu follows suit with a range of vibrant dishes gleaned from all over the place.
