Breathing new life into a grim, grey area of the city that is scheduled for long-term regeneration, the Dragon and Castle is a terrific and exciting restaurant occupying the ground floor of a swanky office block.

Stone dragons stand guard outside and you are ushered through the fortified door into a grand dining room dominated by a flower-festooned waterfall cascading into a pond full of goldfish.
