Set in breathtaking country high above Lake Windermere, the Drunken Duck seems to have just about everything you could wish for in a well-heeled country pub with four centuries of colourful history under its belt. Inside it looks every inch the part, with its wood fires, wide oak flooring, old beams and hundreds of pictures side by side with leather club chairs and polished slate.
