The Drury House, Windsor's oldest and most famous restaurant has been trading for more than a century in a building that can trace its roots back to 1645. Situated opposite Windsor Castle's King Henry VIII Gate, it originally provided lodging for staff working at the regal residence and later became the abode of Nell Gwyn (Charles II's favourite mistress).
The Drury House has gained a worldwide reputation for its home-cooked food, hearty breakfasts, teatime treats and suppers, which are served in an atmospheric setting of ornate panelling, original fireplaces and intricate mouldings.
