Glorious Somerleyton Estate, with its stately Hall and 14 acres of fabulous gardens is now home to all manner of tourist attractions, corporate events, weddings and the like. Fritton Lake is one of the loveliest stretches of water in Suffolk and the whole set-up also includes a hotel, woodland holiday lodges and the Duke's Head pub.

The setting, down the the river, is an irresistible attraction in good weather, when crowds pack the sun-drenched terrace.
