The East is a contemporary pan-Asian restaurant set within an attractive traditional public house in the sleepy Hertfordshire village of Elstree. Vibrant tones and subdued lighting create a warm, informal atmosphere in the restaurant, which spills out onto the sun terrace during the summer months.
Infusions of Chinese, Japanese, Thai and Malaysian flavours combine to create a truly innovative and refreshing menu with signature dishes such as cod fillet coated with a light coconut batter and served with sweet onion sauce, and stir-fried king prawns with asparagus in a spicy XO sauce.
