As its name implies, Craig Wilson's welcoming modern restaurant stands right by the local village green, some 20 minutes' drive from the centre of Aberdeen. The old stone building was formerly a pub, but imaginative contemporary food is now top of the agenda.
Scottish produce shows up promisingly on Craig's menus, whether it's steamed fillets of sea bass on herb mash and wok-fried greens with saffron, Chardonnay and caper cream sauce or char-grilled sirloin of local Aberdeen Angus beef with red onion marmalade, tarragon hollandaise and chunky chips.
