Ees Wyke Country House Review

Standing proud above the still waters of Esthwaite and close to the touristy Beatrix Potter trail in the nearby village, this handsome Georgian house still boasts connections with the children's author, since it was the good lady's holiday home.

Current owners Richard and Margaret Lee have sensibly left well alone as regards décor and style, and the whole place is done out with a sense of smartly restrained good taste.
