English's is one of the oldest and best known restaurants on the South Coast it has been delighting Brighton residents and visitors alike with seafood for over 150 years. It has also welcomed a glittering parade of celebrities including Charlie Chaplin, Laurence Olivier, Charlton Heston and Dame Judy Dench. The restaurant was originally established by the Brazier family during the last century and occupies three fisherman's cottages which date back almost 400 years.
Chef Trish Goodwin and her kitchen brigade pride themselves on the fact that all soups and sauces are made on the premises from their own mayonnaise to the freshly prepared lobster bisque.
