Over the years, this converted private residence in a village a few miles from Doncaster and the M180 has established itself as one of the premier wine bars in the land. There have been changes of ownership since 2003, but current incumbent Steve Ward still adheres to the principles of 'good food, good wine and good company' - and customers are prepared to travel a fair distance to sample what he has to offer.
Steve goes twice weekly to Grimsby fish market so that head chef Rick Speroni can create some imaginative specials, although the outright winner on the regularly changing menus is undoubtedly his must-have crème brûlée.
