Set in the relatively undiscovered northern reaches of the Lake District, this historic manorial country house can trace its lineage back to the sixteenth century, although it was substantially 'improved' during Victorian times to include landscaped gardens with a stream and an ornamental lake.
Long-term custodians the Quinions and the Stevensons have been in residence since the hall re-opened in 1975, and they continue to run the place in personal, relaxed style.
