This grand old Victorian edifice, dating from 1882, remains one of Cornwall's hidden treasures. Built high on the cliffs above the harbour and waters of the Fowey estuary, it's a relaxing and peaceful retreat conveniently close to must-see sites like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The views from the luxuriously decorated restaurant are glorious – so tables by the window are at a premium.
