Franklins Review

A happy marriage of South London local boozer and cheery bistro-style restaurant, Franklins serves its neighbourhood admirably. The blue-tiled frontage opens into a buzzy bar with real ales, and beyond that is a casual dining room with paper cloths and utilitarian wooden furniture.

The kitchen delivers unfussy British food with a few European add-ons: earthy flavours and old fashioned ingredients abound, although the style is fashionably retro.
