A landmark Hampstead watering hole with an unrivalled position on the Heath, the Freemasons Arms is also a recent gastro pub award-winner. The interior has been given a thorough makeover and it now comes complete with log fires and an open kitchen; there's also the bonus of a superb garden with beautifully landscaped decking for al fresco meals.
The menu is an easily accessible run through 'sharing plates' of mezze and tapas, 'little dishes' (crab cakes with mango and coriander salsa, caramelised onion and goats' cheese tart) plus 'leaves' (upbeat salads including crispy duck with watercress and mooli).
