Originally The Yorkshire Grey, then The Honest Cabbage, this Bermondsey boozer now cuts the mustard as The Garrison, a bright, light gastro pub in the classic mould - complete with antiques, shelves of books and stripped floors.

No-nonsense modern pub food is the order of the day, and the short seasonal menu rings the changes with - say - Cullen skink, roast cod with leeks, brown shrimps and chive sauce, and guinea fowl with rösti and sauce poivrade.
