Known locally as 'The GT', this impressively renovated eighteenth-century coaching inn is easily located not far from the A1. It's a place of two halves, with much attention focused on low-ceilinged, fine-dining restaurant (open for dinner Monday-Saturday and Sunday lunch); also check out the delightful new garden terrace.
The menu is a showcase for local and regional produce, which is given vibrant modern treatment in the kitchen.
