The George Inn Review
Rebuilt after a devastating fire in 2004, this eighteenth-century coaching inn is now thriving as a smart, stylish gastropub/restaurant. Once a stopover for coaches travelling between London and Norwich, it is handily placed not far from the M11 and only 15 minutes' drive from the centre of Cambridge.
The interior has been lovingly and sympathetically restored by a team of dedicated craftsmen and there are now two classy dining rooms in the newly furbished barn-like extension (complete with an inviting al fresco terrace).
