The Ginger Dog can be found in the village of Kemptown, opened by husband and wife wife team Ben and Pamela McKellar, who are renowned for their three other Gingerman restaurants in Brighton. The interior has a contemporary style with striped wooden floors, open fires, red leather banquettes, retro style mirrors adorning the walls, and quirky bowler hat lights hang from the ceiling.
Produce is locally sourced and seasonal ingredients are put through their paces for a menu that might kick off with crispy mozzarella with ratatouille, red pepper peppolata and rocket before mains of rabbit, morel mushroom and Madeira pie with mash and buttered kale.
