A vast venue spread over five levels of two Georgian townhouses and a Victorian factory, Goldbrick House is a ritzy mix of café bar, Champagne/cocktail lounge and two-tier restaurant, with private dining rooms and a terrace added to the mix. Inside, it feels as cool and luxurious as a gentlemen's club with glittering chandeliers, yellow retro wallpaper, leather sofas and lots of nooks and crannies adding a touch of seclusion.
Seasonal menus have a strong Mediterranean slant, witness panzanella, pasta (say, tagliatelle with braised quail and walnut pesto) and chorizo-stuffed saddle of rabbit with sweet potato gratin and primo cabbage.
