The Great House Hotel Review

This impressively restored mansion was reputedly a gift from Elizabeth I to the Earl of Leicester, who used the place as a hunting lodge during the latter part of the sixteenth century. The Grade II-listed building still retains many of its fine features including stone archways, mighty inglenooks, mullioned windows and an original dovecote in the south wall.
